Getting Started

1. Source GSC (Game Servers Client) v2.o by searching the Internet. I sourced mine here :

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/network_software/messaging/gsc.cfm

2. Download and install it (the .exe file will download a further 18mb during installation)

3. After installation, you will be presented with a Sign On dialogue box, at this stage you will need to create an account - so select the 'Need an account?' option at the bottom of the screen

4. This will open a separate browser window into which you will need to provide the information requested. Note your username doesn't need to be anything associated with your wow character (see note about creating nickname once your GSC account is established). I found completing this form a bit tricky as the cursor doesn't always appear in the selected field, but the text does appear when you type. I also found that if the window was maximised it threw the formatting out and the input couldn't be completed - fixed by resizing window.

5. Note that you only need to complete Basic Account Information and End User Agreement buttons at the end, the rest is optional.

6. When the form is completed, you will be presented with an activation window (still in seperate browser), into which you need to type your selected username and password, together with the activation code which will be e-mailed to the e-mail address you associated with the account.

7. You should then get a message informing you that the account has been activated. You can now close the additional browser window and return to the Sign On dialogue box. Input your username and password and logon.

8. When logged on you will be presented with two new windows, one is a welcome screen - close that one. You will be left with the XXXXXX Friends dialogue box.

9. Select the Voice tab and then select Add (lower left), then 'by searching'

10. A new dialogue box will open (Voice Server Search). Type in strength and honour and select search. The search should return the Strength and Honour voice server. Highlight it and then click the 'Add Selected To....Public Voice Servers' option.

11. You can now close the Voice Server Search dialogue box.

12. Back at the XXXXX Friends dialogue box, Voice tab you should now see Strength and Honour added to the bottom of the Public Voice Servers List.

13. Right Click on the Strength and Honour entry and select Open Voice Server. You will now be prompted for the password, which will be provided via the guild.

14. If all is succesful the Strength and Honour window will open and you will be present in the guild voice server. (If you can't get on the server it may be because you haven't been added as a recognised user)

15. You can change your Nickname (to present your wow character name) by selecting User option at top and Change My Comment/Nickname - add your nickname under the Custom Information area an select apply.

16. Assuming you have a Microphone, this will get you up and running
